A woman was arrested after she ran over a fire hydrant.

The incident occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m. Sunday at 8th and Fieldview in El Centro. The woman was not injured nor was her child that was in the car with her. El Centro police arrested the woman and booked her into Imperial County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence, Driving with a Suspended License and Child Endangerment. The child was turned over to her father. The accident remains under investigation.
