(California State Library awards a grant)....It was awarded to the City of Imperial Library.

It was announced that the Imperial Public Library was one of the award recipients for the California State Library Stronger Together: Out of School Time Grant Program. The City will receive $100,000 to help improve library services for out of school youth through a replication project. The City will recruit teenage interns, ahes 125 to 18, through a competitive process. Those selected will plan and implement programs for children ages 6-12 for a term of four months. Teens selected to participate will receive a $500 scholarship at the end of the program. The program will be administered by the Community Services Department, under the leadership of Director Ember Haller.
