The National Weather Service has extended the Wind Advisory issued for Imperial Valley.

The NWS says to expect strong northwest and northerly winds through Monday evening. Winds 25-35 mph with gusts up to 40-50 mph are forecast for most of Imperial and Yuma Counties. According to the NWS, the passage of a springtime weather system is responsible for the winds.
