A young girl was handing out money to her friends at school.

The 10-year-old girl was seen by school security handing out cash to other students at the El Centro elementary school Thursday afternoon. According to school staff, the girl told them she had taken over $13,000 from her father's dresser drawer and was sharing with her friends. The father said that he had the money in the drawer because he doesn't trust banks. School officials were able to recover all but $100.00 of the money. The father said he was OK with that, and he would now buy a safe for his money. The girl said she was sorry.
