The California Highway Patrol is investigating an early Sunday morning accident that resulted in a fatality.

The accident was reported at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday at Dogwood and Aten Road. Few details are available but the single vehicle accident caused power lines to be knocked down and resulted in the closure of Dogwood Road between Aten and Worthington Roads so utility crews could make repairs. The closure was expected to remain in effect for approximately 8 hours.
