(CHP says The Christmas Holiday Weekend was uneventful)....The California Highway Patrol Statistics for last weekend.

They indicate there was two non-injury collisions. There was one Minor injury collision and there was one DUI arrest. That was over the CHP Maximum Enforcement Period, which covered the 3 day Christmas Weekend. The Highway Patrol goes into their next MEP Friday evening at 6:01 pm and it continues through 11:59 Sunday night. The CHP also covers the Sand Dune recreational areas in Imperial County. The New Years Holiday is one of the major off-road weekend in Imperial County.
