El Centro Regional Medical Center has named Luis Castro Chief Operating Officer.

As COO Castro will be responsible for hospital-wide operations including management and planning. Castro is an Imperial Valley native and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business with a concentration in human resources management and a Master of Business Administration. degree. He has been with ECRMC since 2005 and has most recently been Chief Human Resources Officer. The new COO will work with leaders from nursing, compliance, quality, strategy, and finance. ECRMC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Adolphe Edward said, " We believe having Luis in the COO role will help keep our hospital moving forward. His expertise and commitment will further establish our hospital as the leading healthcare facility in the region."
