(Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks)....For some it is a day to give.
Especially to those who cannot provide a Thanksgiving day feast. ABATE 38 passed out turkeys over the weekend. Centenela State Prison and Imperial County Office of Education employees began passing out food stuffs for Thanksgiving, including turkeys, this week. Traditionally Thanksgiving Day feasts are hosted by the Salvation Army, The Neighborhood House and the Hacienda Snack Bar on Thanksgiving Day. The meals are provided to the low income, but also to people who do not have family or friends and do not want want to prepare a big meal just for themselves. Several groups and organizations have been giving out food to those in need. The spirit of giving will continue right into the Christmas Holiday period.
