A downtown El Centro business reported that a tip jar was stolen.

The business , in the 100 block of South 6th Street , told police that a man wearing a black tank top and shorts took the jar and was last seen heading north on 6th Street. The thief tossed away the jar but kept an estimated $12 - $15 worth of cash intended for the employees.
