The Imperial County Public Health Department updated the COVID-19 numbers.

As of Tuesday there are 435 active cases of the virus in the county. There are nine COVID-19 positive ICU patient and 16 ventilators in use in local hospitals. The number of active cases is up very slightly from last weeks numbers. The number of deaths from the coronavirus remains at 766. So far nearly 282,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the county. El Centro Regional Medical Center has a Children Vaccination Clinic for youngsters 5 - 11 years of age scheduled for Tuesday , November 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. , by appointment only.
