(The power went out in the northend)...It happened as residents slept.

The power went out at just after 2:00 Monday morning in Calipatria.  1,521 customers were without power for less than 20 minutes. IID crews restored power to the area at around 2:19 am. Around the same time power went out in Brawley. 5,093 customers were affected in that outage. Power was restored but reportedly went out again  minutes later. There has been no report on the progress in restoring power to the residents of Brawley. The cause of the outages have not been released.
