(Flu Season Hits around November)...Now is the time to prepare.

The Public Health Department says it takes about two weeks for the flu vaccine to become effective. The County Healt5h Department says they will be offering flu shots to individuals six months and older at the Deepartment of Social Services on South 4th Street in El Centro this month. The COVID 19 vaccine will also be offered at the scheduled events. The first vaccination event will be held Thursday October 21 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A second event at the same location wilol be held October 23rd from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Anyone with COVID 19 symptoms will not be  able to receive a the vaccination. Face coverings will be required and participants are encouraged to wear short slevve shirts, Walk ins will be welcome, but appoinbtments are recommended for faster service.
