(Special events in the North County)...On October 13 and 14, Walk and Bike to school events will be held in Calipatria and Niland.

Participating schools include Grace Smith inb Niland, and in Calipatria, Fremont Primary, Bill E. Smith Middle School and Calipatria High School. The Calipatria/Niland Family Resource Center will be hosting a Morning Rally both days, including Free bicycle registration, watermelon helmet effectiveness demonstration and ABC Quick Bike Check inspections. There will be breakfast snacks, education and safety tips, Health and wellness booths and an art contest. Thge Safety and Wellness Fair wilol be held on October 27th in Calipatria from 1:30 to 3 pm. It will feature safety tips, resource agencis and fitness and wellness screenings.
