(Tuesday is election day)....The statewide election is on the recall of the Governor.

If voters approve the recall, they are being asked to choose a candidate to take over the position. Voters have been casting mail-in ballots for more than a month. Tuesday is the actual election day. Polls will be open from 7 am until 8 pm. All the ballots will be counted once the polls close. There are about 40 candidates seeking the position if voters decide to approve the recall of Governor Gavin Newsom.
