A car was reported in a canal early Saturday morning.

The report was received at about 2:15 a.m. The accident occurred at Montgomery Road just east of Fleet Road. Initial reports are that a car went out of control and careened into a canal. The vehicle was reported to be fully submerged with only the roof visible. A woman and a child were able get out of the car and were apparently not injured. The car remained in the canal until a dive team was able to assist in removing it.
