(Number of Active Cases for COVID 19)...The numbers continue to fluctuate.

The latest numbers have been released by the County Public Health Department. As of Thursday morning there were 312 active cases of COVID 19. That is down from the 325 cases previously reported. There are still 21 COVID positive patients hospitalized. 5 of them are in Intensive Care. Deaths attributed to the virus remain at 748. The Health Department says there are four variants of concern in the County. 322 of them have been reported in Imperial County. There have been 114 cases of the most worrisome variant, the Delta variant, reported in the county. Total vaccine doses administered in the county are now over 235,000.
