(Winners were announced recently)....It was the fifth annual Rural County Photo Contest.

It was hosted by the Rural County Representatives of California, or RCRC. Imperial County Information Officer Gil Rebollar submitted a photo of a sunset at Sunbeam Lake. The photo is titled Illumminated Waters and highlights Sunbeam Lake at dusk with the sun and its golden rays reflecting off the calm lake. In the statewide contest, the Imperial County Photo came in third. County Board of Supervisors Chairman Mike Kelley congratulated Rebollar for the recognition.
