The desert southwest may be getting some rain this week.

The National Weather Service ( NWS ) says that an area of low pressure is moving into the area and it will bring cooler temperatures and an increased chance of precipitation. NWS says conditions become favorable for thunderstorm activity over the next several days with the best chance Tuesday morning and afternoon. Humid conditions will continue through the week. Temperatures Monday will be near 105 and 102 on Tuesday. The heat index " feels like " temperature will be a few degrees higher because of the humidity. Overnight lows will continue in the low to mid-80's.
