(Fire reported at an El Centro Motel)...The fire was reported late Tuesday morning.

El Centro Fire Department says they were called to a motel at 1080 West Adams Avenue. When they arrived they found smoke coming from one of the rooms. Fire crews immediately isolated the fire, to keep it from spreading to other rooms in the motel. Firefighters then coordinated an attack to extinguish the fire. They had the fire out within five minutes, but remained on the scene to protect against any flare-ups. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
