U. S. Border Patrol agents seized nearly 100 pounds of methamphetamine at the Highway 86 checkpoint.

A car approached the checkpoint Monday evening and was referred to secondary inspection after a Border Patrol Canine Team alerted to the car. Agents located the illicit drugs in the back of the car. The meth weighed 98.67 pounds and has a street value of over $271,000. The driver , a U. S. citizen , was turned over to the DEA.
