Exhausted Imperial Valley firefighters are battling a second major brush fire.
A large windblown fire was reported at about 9:00 p.m. Monday in the area of Highway 98 and Ferrell Road. The rapidly moving fire came on the heels of an earlier three-alarm fire near Wiest Lake. Clark Road from Jasper Road to Highway 98 and LaBrucherie Road from Kubler to Jasper Road were closed as was the Clark Road bridge over the New River.
