(Legal Fireworks for the 4th of July Holiday)... If you are going to set off Fireworks, they must be safe and sane fireworks.

The Independence Day Holiday, most Cities are in agreement. Only Safe and Sane Fireworks are allowed within city limits. That includes El Centro, Calexico, Holtville, Imperial and Brawley. The County says no fireworks are allowed in the unincorporated areas. Because of the limited time to plan a major event, there will be no Freedom Fest this year. The City of Calipatria have not said if they will host a Fireworks Show, or not. It is recommended that residents attend one of the free swim events at the Aquatic Center in El Centro and the Free Swim event in Brawley.
