(Updating Fatal Injury incident)....The incident was reported early Tuesday morning.

At around 1:00 Tuesday morning the California Highway Patrol says a person was found in the roadway on Highway 111, near Rutherford Road. The person suffered fatal injuries. The County Coroners Office says the victims identity cannot be released until next of kin is notified. They said that has proven difficult. They said the victim was an adult female transient. The Highway Patrol says they suspect the woman was hit by a vehicle, possibly a big rig. No vehicle was found at the scene. The CHP says they are looking for a vehicle with major front end damage. No other information has been released. The investigation is on-going.
