(Calexico Police involved in a shooting)....It was reported Monday evening.

Police had been called to an altercation between two men at Paulin and Third Street in Calexico. Very little information is being released. One of the men involved in the altercation was apparently armed. Police ordered him to put down his weapon. He refused and was shot. The man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Calexico police will not comment on the incident, saying the County Sheriff's Office has assumed the investigation. The Sheriffs Office has said a press release would be released.
