(Earthquakes in the North-end)....It is another swarm of earthquakes.

This one is about 8 miles west southwest of Niland. The swarm began at around 9:00 Friday night and is continuing. The temblors have been mostly micro-quakes, magnitude 2.9 and below. Several have been minor to moderate quakes. The biggest was a magnitude 4.3. There have been magnitude 4.0, and 4.1 magnitude quakes. There have been a few magnitude 3.9. The US Geological Survey has said swarms are not unusual in the area. This swarm comes on the heals of a recent swarm along the Westmorland fault. No damages or injuries have been reported. The swarms are being monitored closely.
