A rapidly moving brush fire is burning near Agua Caliente in San Diego County.
As of Sunday afternoon more than 2,900 acres burned with zero containment according to CalFire. A campground near Shelter Valley was evacuated , displacing at least 500 residents. The fire has been named the Southern Fire and is moving along the Great Southern Overland Stage Route , County S-2. High winds have hampered firefighting efforts. The American Red Cross has an evacuation center at Ague Caliente County Park.
