El Centro Police are investigating an assault that occurred at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

According to police reports , a 45-year old man was stabbed in the upper back while in the area of the 800 block of Adams Avenue. Police apprehended two suspects in the assault and following an investigation and positive identification by the victim , booked the two for assault. The victim was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment.
