High wind has caused Caltrans to postpone the scheduled closure of eastbound Interstate 8.

With wind up to 40 mph in the forecast , Caltrans has rescheduled the closure of the freeway until Tuesday night. The eastbound lanes will be closed from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. for the installation of false work at the Imperial Avenue Interchange Project. One westbound lane will also Abe closed. Traffic will be detoured from Forrester Road to 4th Street during the planned closure.
