(Illegally re-entering the United States)...There were to separate arrests.

Both happened the same day, about an hour apart.. In the first incident, a 19 year old was found enteriung the US illegally. A records just revealed the 19 year old had been convicted of having sex with a minor in 2010 out of Santa Ana, California. He was sentenced to two years in jail. In 2004, he was convicted of transporting and selling drugs. He was sentenced to a year in jail before being deported from the US. About an hour later, another man was found about 30 miles east of the Calexico Port. During a records check Border Patrol agents discovered the man was a 55 year old native of El Salvador. In 2002 he had been convicted of sex with a minor out of San Mateo. He was sentenced to two years in jail. In 2004 the man was convicted of felony grand theft. He served a year and a half for that conviction, before being deported to his country of origin. Both men were placed in federal custody to await a hearing for re-entering the US after previously being removed.
