(Monday COVID 19 Update)....The numbers were released by the County Public Health Department.

According to the Monday morning numbers, there are currently 95 active cases of COVID 19, up from 77 reported Friday. Deaths attributed to the virus remain at 712. There are still just 9 COVID patients hospitalized in Imperial County, 4 in Intensive Care. There are 7 ICU beds available in the county. The new cases per day per 100,000 population is at 5.75, up from the 4.85 reported Friday. The positivity rate is at 9.14%, down slightly from 9.37% reported on Friday. Tuesday the Governor is expected to announce those counties that qualify to move to a new tier in the state's plan to economic recovery. Local officials say there is a possibility Imperial County, currently in the Red tier, could move up to the Orange tier.
