El Centro Police are investigating the theft of a van.

The incident occurred at about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday when a Ford Econoline Van was stolen from a 4th Street raspados shop. The van has signs saying Valley Medical Transport on the doors. The driver left the van for just a minute and while he was out of the van a man jumped in and drove off. The van was located a short time later and the thief was gone. Their is surveillance video from the raspados shop to aid in the investigation. The suspect is reported to be wearing a long sleeve white shirt , black jeans and a black hat.
