(Fentanyl seized)....It happened Tuesday.

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents were working the Interstate 8 checkpoint. A canine detection team alerted to a transport shuttle van. The vehicle was sent to the secondary inspection area. The canine alerted to a backpack located in the van. In the backpack agents found several pill bottles that were sealed and appeared to be new. The agents broke the seals and found $24,000 worth of fentanyl pills. The owner of the backpack turned out to be a 16 year old female U.S. citizen. She was arrested and the Fentanyl was seized. The van and other occupants were released.
