San Diego County Sheriff's Department homicide investigators are looking into a suspicious death after a body was found Wednesday.

According to the SDCSD , just after 8:00 Wednesday morning , U.S. Border Patrol agents found the body of an adult male near Shockey Truck Trail and State Route 94 in Campo. Based on circumstances , the Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded to the scene and has assumed responsibility for the investigation into the man's death. The identity of the dead man has not been released.
