(COVID Death Toll increases by 6)...The latest update was released by the County Public Health Department.

The Thursday update indicates there have now been 420 COVID related deaths in Imperial County. That is up from 414 reported Wednesday. Active cases of the virus have gone down. They are now at 1,632, compared to 1,714 reported Wednesday. New Cases per day per 100,000 population has dropped to 82.07, down from the 87.81 reported Wednesday. The Positivity Rate has gone up slightly to 31.43%, as compared to the 30.84% previously reported. Hospitalizations of COVID 19 patients are now at 178, 7 less than was what was reported Wednesday. There is currently 1 ICU bed available in Imperial County.
