(Busy weekend)...It was for Border Patrol agents.
They reported several narcotics seizures. The first one was reported at the Highway 111 checkpoint. A narcotics detecting k-9 alerted to a Blue Blazer. A search of the vehicle resultd in the discovery of packages hidden in the oil pan. The contents tested positive for Fentynal. The packages weighed over 13 pounds and were valued at around $200,320. The driver, a 41 year oild US citizen, the vehicle and narcotics were turned over to the DEA. The next incident occured at the Highway S2 checkpoint. Agents found 414 grams of marijuana, 580 grams of psilocybin, 18 grams of MDMA and 16 doses of LSD. The narcotics was valued at around $6410. The 47 year old driver of the vehicle, the vehicle and the narcotics were turned over to the US Bureau of Land Management. In the 3rd incident agents discovered 3 packages on Heber Avenue and First Street in Calexico. The packages tested positive for methamphetamine and was valued a more than $6,900. The 4th incident was also at the Highway S2 checkpoint. Small amounts of marijuana, cocaine, psilocybin MDMA and LSD were found in a vehicle. The narcotics were valued at around $273. The two occupants of the vehicle, the vehicle and narcotics were turned over to the Bureau of Land Management
