The Imperial Irrigation District says they will be celebrating Public Power Week, running from October 4 through October 10. They will not be alone. More than 2,000 other community-powered, not for profit electric utilities will be celebrating. All together, they collectively provide electricity to 49 million americans across the nation. In celebration customers are encouraged to enjoy the advantages of being a public power customer in a variety of ways.
