(F-35B crashes)....It happened Tuesday afternoon near Salton City.

Military officials say the jet was refueling with a KC 130J. Both aircraft were flying out of the Yuma Marine Corps Air Station. The aircraft apparently clipped each other, knocking the F-35 out of control. It crashed west of Salton City. The pilot was able to eject, and at last report was being treated at a hospital for injuries he had suffered. The KC 130, with eight people aboard, reportedly crash landed in an ag field near Thermal. None of the passengers were injured. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
