An Imperial Valley Strike Team has moved on.

On Saturday a Strike Team made up of Imperial Valley firefighters and equipment was dispatched to the Whale Fire near San Luis Obispo. After one day of operations the team was reassigned to the Carmel Fire in Carmel Valley. Men and equipment from Imperial County Fire , El Centro Fire , Holtville Fire , Brawley Fire and Centinela , Calipatria and Chuckwalla State Prisons make up the Strike Team. An Imperial County Fire Water Tender with two firefighters was deployed to a different Southern California fire.
