(Valdez enters plea)…The Brawley police officer was arraigned Tuesday.

Ricardo Gabriel Valdez entered a plea of not guilty. He has been on administrative leave since late June. The 32 year old is being charged with Rape of an Unconscious person, Sexual battery by restraint, first degree residential burglary and assault by a public officer. He was allegedly on duty at the time the crimes were committed. The incident was investigated by the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office.
