The Imperial County Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Forrester Road near Westmoreland Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported at about 4:25 p.m. Monday and involved a large farm shed and farm equipment. A second alarm was issued shortly after the first firefighters arrived and then a third alarm went out. Fire fighters and equipment from NAF El Centro , El Centro and several other agencies assisted in fighting the blaze. Forrester Road was closed to traffic due to smoke blowing across the roadway.
