(Free Fishing Day)…It is Saturday July 4th.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says it is the first of two Free Fishing Days scheduled for this year. No license will be needed to fish in California throughout the Day Saturday. The second Free Fishing Day is Labor Day. You can fish without a license on those two days, but all other fishing regulations will remain in effect.
