A multi-Agency raid on a marijuana grow site in Blythe netted more than pot.
Riverside County Sheriff's Office and other local and federal agencies conducted the raid on a suspected marijuana grow site near Palo Verde Community College Wednesday morning. During the operation , 104 individuals were detained , including approximately 80 people from the People's Republic of China. U. S. Border Patrol agents and Custom's Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations conducted interviews of all the individuals to determine immigration status. It was determined that 14 of the Chinese nationals were in violation of their immigration status. Two there subjects , one from Guatemala and one from Mexico , were also illegally present in the U.S. Two individuals who were allegedly in charge of the grow operation were also taken into custody.
