A 22-year old woman was arrested after Border Patrol agents found more than 43 pounds of methamphetamine stashed in her car.
It happened Monday afternoon when a Border Patrol Canine alerted to the woman's car at the Pine Valley Immigration Checkpoint. Agents located 42 bundles of meth hidden inside both rear quarter panels. The drugs have a street value of nearly $100,000. The woman , a U.S. citizen , was turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration. Since October 1 of last year , San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents have seized more than 1,956 pound of methamphetamine worth an estimated $4 million.
