(Over 80 pounds of meth seized)…A 57 year old man was arrested.

It happened at the Highway 86 Immigration Checkpoint. The suspect had driven a white SUV up to the checkpoint. A Border Patrol Canine Detection Team alerted to the vehicle, and it was sent to the secondary inspection area. During the search of the vehicle, agents discovered 76 packages concealed in the dashboard, all four doors, and the two rear quarter panels. The packages contained 83 pounds of methamphetamine, with an estimated value of $156,000. The man, a US citizen, the vehicle and narcotics were all turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation.
