(Voter turn-out low)….So far, anyway.
The Presidential Primary was held Wednesday. So far, voter turn-out is at 17.50 percent. Out of a total of 77,390 registered voters in Imperial County, 13,540 cast a ballot. That is of the ballots counted, so far. The Registrar of Voters office says there are still many ballots that need to be counted. There are unprocessed vote by mail ballots, provisional ballots and ballots deposited in other counties. How many ballots that remain to be counted has not been determined. Elections has 30 days to release a final count in the election.
