(Proposition 68 Funds)….They are going to local parks.

The California State Parks recently announced the latest recipients of the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Grant Program. Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia said the recipients are Mecca, Calexico and Heber. They will be receiving over $15 million in Proposition 68 funds for park projects. Calexico was allocated $8.5 million to Expand Heber Park. The Heber Public Utilities District is receiving $700,000 to renovate and improve their children’s park.
