It's the weekend before the start of the California Mid-Winter Fair and Fiesta and it's packed with events.
The El Centro Regional Medical Center Foundation will host their 13th Annual Mardi Gras Gran Bal , Moonlight and Masquerade , A Night in New Orleans , at the Barbara Worth Country Club. Camarena Memorial Library in Calexico will feature " Libraries on the Spectrum ". A new program that provides a library experience for children on the autism spectrum. It runs from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. On Saturday The Imperial Animal Control Office will host low-cost rabies vaccination clinics. At Lucky Dog in Brawley from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. At the Calexico City Shop from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and at the County Animal Shelter from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Imperial County Humane Society will have a low-cost vaccination and microchip event as well. Saturday night it's the City of El Centro's Mardi Gras Light Parade and Street Festival. It starts at 5:00 p.m. , the parade at 6:00 p.m. There will be a concert , food , beads and fun. On Sunday the Imperial Valley Desert Museum in Ocotillo will host Ocotillo Blooms , a free event , from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and if you stop by El Centro Regional Medical Center on Sunday you can meet members of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team , the Blue Angels , from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
