(Narcotics Seizure)…It was at the Andrade Port of Entry.
The Customs and Border Protection Officer working the port encountered a 36 year old US citizen driving a pickup truck. The vehicle was referred to the secondary inspection area. During the secondary inspection, a CBP canine team alerted to the gas tank of the pickup. Officers searched and discovered 15 wrapped packages. Of the 15 packages, one contained fentanyl, seven were heroin and the remaining 7 contained methamphetamine. The packages weighed 49 pounds with an estimated street value of more than $278,000. The driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigation agents for further processing. He was then booked into County Jail to await arraignment.
