(20 years of economic development)….The IVEDC celebrated their anniversary late last week.
It was their 15th Annual Dinner. It was held at the Pioneers Museum Thursday evening. During the event, they passed out some awards, and reported on some of their past accomplishments. The Investor of the Year award was presented to Douglas Dahm from the Dahm Team Real Estate. The Volunteer of the Year award went to Carla Kuhns. The Partner of the Year award went to Imperial Regional Alliance, Inc. Southern Boarder Broadband Consortium received the Initiative of the Year Award. The Project of the Year award went to Valley Premiere Storage. The Chairperson’s Award was presented to the County Board of Supervisors Chairman Ryan Kelley. The Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation has created thousands of jobs in the past 20 years, attracted hundreds of new businesses and brought in millions of dollars in new investments.
