(Next big election)…It will be the Primary election March 3rd.
The filing period for the local races on the ballot is currently open. The deadline to file is December 6th. Some of the races on the ballot are for Imperial Irrigation District Director and Board of Supervisors. IID Divisions 2 and four will be decided. For Division 2, incumbent Bruce Kuhn and challengers Dilda McFadden and John Hamby have announced, but none have completed the filing process. For Division 4, incumbent Eric Ortega and challenger Javier Gonzalez have both filed. Another challenger, Joong Kim, has announced but he has not completed the filing process. Districts 2, 3, and 4 will be on the ballot for County Board of Supervisor. In District 2 incumbent Luis Plancarte has not filed for re-election and there are no challengers, at last report. District 3 incumbent Mike Kelley has filed. Incumbent Ryan Kelley has also filed for re-election. As yet, there are no challengers running in Districts 3 or 4.
